Evaluation question 5

5. How did you attract/address your audience?

- Use of sound -> creates tension and suspense which shows it is aimed at a older audience.
- Use of video filters -> makes it seam like something is wrong/not normal, which gives a thriller aspect to it because you can see that something is going to but then you don't actually see it.
- Long tracking shots -> Makes audience want to carry on watching it to find out what happens.
- Narrative -> 3 Second gap after he falls over, creates lots of suspense which grabs the audiences attention even more and will make them want to carry on watching the film to see if anything happens to the character.
- introduction to character -> long, learn about him, see him as innocent, then he is captured so the audience want to know what happens to him because they feel sorry for him.
- Film opening -> Ask lots of questions e.g. Does he survive?, why is it blurry?, Will the villain kill again?
